1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Chinese Vocabulary Learning App ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. This document contains sample legal text for testing and demonstration only.
2. Description of Service
The App provides tools for learning Chinese vocabulary, including AI-generated study materials, OCR photo recognition, reading articles, pinyin training, and progress tracking. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@chineselearning-test.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Premium features may require a paid subscription processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Billing, renewals, and refunds are governed by the respective store policies. Free trial periods, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law
- Upload malicious code, spam, or content that infringes third-party rights
- Abuse AI features to generate harmful, misleading, or offensive content
- Share account credentials or resell access to the service
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, logos, software, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark laws. AI-generated study content is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial learning use only.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT LEARNING OUTCOMES, AI-GENERATED CONTENT, OR OCR RESULTS WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR SUITABLE FOR EVERY PURPOSE. USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for operational reasons. Upon termination, provisions that by nature should survive (e.g., liability limits, intellectual property) will remain in effect.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
